Everyone at Cosgrove would like to say a big “thank you” to our Fabrics facilitator Carol-Anne, who finishes up with Cosgrove this month after 8 years bringing creativity and joy to the people we support. Carol-Anne initially joined Cosgrove as a support worker, and after a year started to lend her talents, and her degree in textiles, to our arts and crafts classes, which proved to be a firm favourite with regular attendees because of the innovative ideas that she brought to the sessions.
Carol-Anne’s “Fun with Fabrics” sessions were a particular favourite, and she skillfully adapted the way that these sessions were delivered during the height of the Covid pandemic, bringing fun online sessions to life. From Tote bags to cushions and tea towels, Carol-Anne’s groups created items that were both beautifully designed and practical!
Carol-Anne is a firm believer in helping through the process of creation, and in people making something that belongs to them that they can be proud of, and we are very grateful to her for all of her efforts during her time with the organisation. Thank you Carol-Anne!
We held a cake and tea thank you event and presented some flowers from everyone at Cosgrove Care. Liz Grant said a few words of thanks and Heather Gray presented Carol- Anne with flowers. We will be showcasing the incredible work that Carol- Anne has done with the people we support on the web-site shortly!
