Female Support Workers (SG1)

Female Support Workers

Location: Thornliebank, Glasgow

Salary: £12 per hour

Varied contracted hours available, part time and full time.


Are you looking for your next opportunity in social care? Are you committed to delivering person centered support and want to help three women with additional needs thrive and move into their first new home?

We are looking for energetic individuals with passion and drive to help these women build their skills and confidence and make a move into their own home in Thornliebank. They are all active within the community, participate in a range of activities and enjoy a vibrant social and family life.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team who will support this small group of women. You will work closely with families, professionals and the Cosgrove Care team to provide excellent care. You should have good knowledge and understanding of supporting people with learning disabilities and additional needs, but importantly we are looking for support staff with the right values who want to make a difference to the lives of people with additional needs. Full training and support will be provided.

We are looking for kind, positive, empathetic and resilient social care professionals who have the passion and drive to support a young woman with additional needs. “A” enjoys a vibrant social life, and will need a high level of consistent support to be able to achieve this, so building a strong relationship with “A” will be vital.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team with partners in health and social care to ensure support, protocols and systems are in place to allow this young woman to live a safe, full life in her new home. You should have good knowledge and understanding of complex health and support needs including learning and physical disabilities, but we will also provide full training and support together with a generous remuneration package.
