Donny Lyons, Co-Chair of our Board of Directors stands down after more than a decade of service and support to Cosgrove Care due to ill health.

Donny’s energy and enthusiasm has been central to the growth, development and professionalism of the charity. He has overseen a period of transformation and we wish him the very best of luck for the future with our thanks.
– Colin Black, Co-Chair
Donny has been a fantastic support to the charity, overseeing the most impactful of decades in our history and embedding human rights and impact at the heart of our work.
With Colin Black as fellow Vice Chair, the governance of the charity has been improved with the formation of two new committees- Care and Governance, chaired by Donny Lyons and Finance and Investment, chaired by Lilias Dunlop – and the organisation has grown and thrived.

Donny has been a constant presence and a strong supporter of our work, attending all our events, being present in our services and importantly driving up the standards of the services delivered by Cosgrove. Whether it was supporting jumper day with Betsy, his cavalier King Charles spaniel in matching jumpers or hosting our drama events in his dinner suit – Donny’s presence, passion and positivity was ever present at Cosgrove Care.
We’d like to say a special thanks to Donny for his dedication, for his professionalism and for his incredible contribution to the Cosgrove story from all of us. We will certainly miss both Donny ( and his t-shirts) and Betsy and we wish him all our support in his recovery.
