Cosgrove shares work on Ukrainian Recruitment Project

Cosgrove is delighted to be displaying a posterboard on our Ukrainian Recruitment Poster at this year’s SCVO Gathering, being held at the EICC in Edinburgh on 7 & 8 November.

https://scvo.scot/the-gathering  The gathering is the largest free voluntary sector event in the UK. It’s a place for all the amazing people working in the sector to network, showcase what they do and learn from each other.

Our posterboard gives a brief overview of our pilot project, successfully hiring a small cohort of support workers from the newly established Ukrainian community, training and supporting them to become certified and self-sufficient social care workers. Describing what we did and results which are helping us to overcome some of the recruitment challenges facing social care providers.

Our Ukrainian staff are on hand to share more about the work we have been doing. If you would like more information, please email care@cosgrovecare.org.uk Pauline Boyce, Depute CEO said, ‘ We are proud to have been able to work with the Ukrainian Community to establish them in permanent jobs in social care in Scotland and to share their culture.
