Appointment of New CEO & Managing Director – Laura Johnston

I am delighted to announce that Laura Johnston has accepted the position of CEO and Managing Director of Cosgrove.

Laura has been an invaluable source of stability and leadership throughout the past eight months and has contributed significantly since joining the Board in December 2025. She brings extensive experience across the public, private and third sectors, alongside lived experience as a carer and advocate for neurodivergent communities. Laura is deeply committed to Cosgrove’s mission: ensuring everyone has the opportunity to live the life they choose and thrive within their community.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Board of Trustees, David Pryde and the whole Cosgrove Management Team for their leadership and hard work during this period of transition. Their support has been instrumental in keeping the organisation moving forward.

We would also like to further thank all colleagues across Cosgrove for your continued focus, professionalism and trust during what has been a challenging and uncertain period. Your commitment has made a real difference. We recognise the significant achievements of our previous CEO, Heather Gray over the past decade and look forward to moving ahead together with renewed focus and confidence, building and strengthening our community and the work we do every day.

In these challenging times there’s much to do, however Laura’s appointment is an exciting and very positive step forward for Cosgrove, and we are confident that the organisation is in very safe and highly credible hands as we move into this next chapter.

More information will follow soon as we move through this next phase together.

Please join us in congratulating Laura, and in thanking David and the team for their continued dedication.

Kind regards,

Colin Black,

Chair of the Board
