| We are a preferred service provider of the Local Authority in the East Renfrewshire area, with which we have a close and mutually supportive working relationship. We work in partnership with their Education Department, sharing and supplementing resources, Commissioning Department, and Child & Family Services, assisting in assessments of need and care plans once a referral is made.
Other providers in the area are Enable Scotland, Capability Scotland, Key Housing, Arklet Housing Association, Quarriers (outreach services) and Chevey Down (respite services). We work in partnership with some of these organizations, supplementing support or accessing respite services. We also offer support and advice to the East Renfrewshire Carer’s Centre, a group of families of young children on the Autistic Spectrum.
Why are we unique? Firstly, we have an excellent reputation at managing internal issues such as staffing and support levels. We ensure that the care we offer is consistent and reliable so the children we support are not overwhelmed by constant changes of support staff. We achieve this by the respect and loyalty with which we treat our staff, and the passion and dedication our staff offer in return. Secondly, we deliver the highest level of care by incorporating a family ethos into our services such as eating together, holding family days, and involving family members in activity groups.
In 2008 we achieved Autism Accreditation from the National Autistic Association – the only organization in East Renfrewshire to have gained this recognition - acknowledging our excellence in both policy and practice.
