100 Scarves
Throughout the Spring months we are running a project that will combine knitting, having a get together and raising money for charity. Interested? Then read on!

Cosgrove wants to get knitters in Glasgow and East Renfrewshire picking up their pointy sticks, casting on and knitting like crazy to knit a scarf - or another woolly warmer of their choice. The project will launch with a grand Stitch n' Bitch (location to be announced depending on numbers) with tea, coffee, home made cakes and maybe even a glass or two of wine! Patterns, wool and needles will be available but knitters will be encouraged to bring along their own materials.

We also hope to attract beginners to the project as there will be many an experienced knitter on hand to offer practical tips and help.

With an aim of knitting 100 Scarves the project may prove very ambitious, but since knitters are known to be of a generous nature (!) and all projects will be autioned online and/or in our charity shops to raise money for our Outreach Services, we hope that we will make good our numbers.

There will also be a raffle with some great crafty prizes! So far Fyberspates, K1Yarns, and Cast-On have kindly agree to donate pirzes so watch this space!

Our next 'Stitch n' Bitch' will be Thursday, 21st April 7-9pm at our No. 4 charity shop in Skirving Street, Shawlands.
